Hollister and Ellalie!

Time is flying by!  Only about 3 more weeks and you two will be out of school for the summer.  This coming Thursday (14th) will be Field Day for both of you.  I wish I was allowed to come and watch you compete and have fun with all your friends.  It's a public event and I could show up, but I don't want to cause the two of you any trouble.  I'm sure the two of you would love for me to come and watch, but others have decided for some reason to ban us from having contact.  I will be there in spirit and thinking of you as I have my coffee.  I'm sure it'll be a fun day for both of you.  Just remember, regardless of what anybody suggests, you do NOT dive into the tiny kiddie pool.  LOL!  Hopefully, I will be able to attend next year's field day activities.

I've been planting my garden vegetables and flowers in the yard.  I have 9 tomato plants (including the cherry tomatoes you like Hollister), 6 cucumber plants, 3 green bean plants, several pepper plants (the orange one you like Ellalie), spinach, kale, and lettuce.  I gave away extra seedlings to several neighbors.  The weather has been so nice this spring!

I have used my whole house fan a lot this year and not needed the air-conditioning on.  You remember, the big fan opens in the hallway ceiling and pulls air through the windows.  It's very nice to have during long springs and falls.  I really like having the windows open.

The fig tree is doing good this year.  I'm hoping to have lots of figs.  I also took cuttings from the tree and propagated new fig trees.  I guess I could mention my gardening blog:  "eclecticgardening.blogspot.com".  You'll see things there you may recognize from my yard.  Yes, I still live in the same house.

I think about the two of you every day.  I miss you both.  I love you very much.  This separation has been very difficult.

I'm including a few photos.  I guess that's all for today.  Please make sure to send me a comment so we can stay in touch.  We'll find each other one day.  Until then, I love you both to the moon and back.
